The palace has confirmed Kate Middleton's second pregnancy. Clarence house took to Twitter to announce the exciting news.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child," read the tweet.

It has also been reported that Queen Elizabeth and the other royal family members are elated with the news.

Interestingly, after the announcement of Middleton's pregnancy, Twitter went into a meltdown. #RoyalBaby went viral and there were some people who went ahead and made fun of Middleton's second pregnancy. Many wrote that royals are using their time productively, while others wrote that it's time to get another public holiday.

Moreover, Middleton's second pregnancy has been the subject of media speculation for months. There were many media channels, which reported Middleton is expecting a baby girl. It was also said that she has had a miscarriage. However, none of these reports were confirmed.

The new baby is due to be born on April next year as Middleton is said to be 8 weeks due. He or she would be fourth in line for the throne. Prince William's brother, Prince Harry, jived at the news of a second baby, saying he would like to see his brother "suffer" for the second time. He also said he would love to see Prince William cope with a daughter, according to reports by The Telegraph.

Kate Middleton's first child, Prince George, recently turned 1. According to reports, the little one would be happy to have a sibling. Prince Harry further said Prince George would be over the moon to have someone to play with, either it is a girl or boy.
