Kate Middleton wants normal childhood for kids: talks Scout plans for Prince George, Rainbow membership for Princess Charlotte
Kate Middleton has revealed her plans to have Prince George and Princess Charlotte interact with other children by joining a Scout or Girl Guide’s group.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been adamant of keeping their two children--Prince George and Princess Charlotte out of the spotlight as much as possible. The royal couple is also keen to provide a normal childhood to their two children, which is something that Prince William was not able to fully enjoy while he was growing up. To help ensure that the two royal children will get the chance to experience it, Kate is thinking of having Prince George and Princess Charlotte join a Scout and Guide Guide group, respectively.
The Duchess of Cambridge made the revelation during a recent visit to Wales, according to Hello! magazine. The visit was part of Kate and husband Prince William’s program to help raise awareness of the mental health issues affecting children and adults. During the Wales visit, the royal couple met with various charitable organisations and people, one of whom was the members of the 10th Bangor Scouts group.
Kate told Scout Guides Cadi Evans and Molly Swann that she enjoyed helping the Anglesey scout group while she and Prince William were still living in Wales. Jill Wilkinson, Caernarfon's county commissioner for Girl Guides, told Hello! that she was thinking of enrolling Prince George to a Scout group and Princess Charlotte in the Rainbow group, which is the Girl Guide group for young children.
"She said that she needs to put Charlotte's name down for Rainbows," Wilkinson said. "She really enjoyed helping with the scout group and said she will get George (into) scouting."
Apart from future Scout and Rainbow plans for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess of Cambridge also shared a quick update about her two children, Express reported. During a visit to a men’s mental health support group in Wales, Kate revealed that Princess is “getting bigger” and that she’s “getting along well with her noisy big brother.”
The royal mother of two also commented that with the upcoming holidays, she is expecting Prince George to start asking about Christmas soon. "I haven't started yet,” she stated, referring to Christmas planning. “But George will be starting to talk about Christmas soon.”
