Kate Middleton's Family Ignored By Queen Elizabeth: Duchess Family Unlikely To Be Invited For Christmas Lunch, Says Royal Insider
Queen Elizabeth has reportedly excluded Kate Middleton's family from the traditional Christmas lunch, which she every year organises at her Sandrigham estate. Kate, Prince William and Prince George are said to be invited to the event.
According to reports by Music Times, the festive season would see Middleton celebrate Christmas at Anmer Hall, and she would also take part in the Queen Elizabeth's festive plans but that would not include the former's family.
"It is highly unlikely that Kate's family will be invited to the big Christmas lunch, or the famous Boxing Day shoot," said a royal insider, according to the Daily Mail. It may so happen that Kate's family could be invited for tea, the reports further suggested. Queen Elizabeth's Christmas lunch is a cosy affair for the family members and she can't have families of all her family members, according to the Daily Mail.
Moreover, it has also been suggested that "no invitation" should not be seen as the sign of animosity between Kate's family and Queen Elizabeth. "The Queen is fond of Kate and doesn't mean to exclude her family - indeed she has broken many of the old rules for them in the past," the royal insider further told the website.
Meanwhile, Middleton who is pregnant with her second baby is currently reported to be staying with her mother Carole Middleton. The Duchess is being taken good care of her family home and is all set to introduce the world to the next royal baby in April. 2015. Duchess's delivery date was confirmed by palace in the official statement yesterday.
Middleton is reported to raise her children in Anmer Hall and the renovations are still in progress in the country home, which was gifted to Prince William on his 30th birthday, according to website's reports. Prince William would reportedly be working as a pilot with the East Anglia Air Ambulance Service during his stay in Anmer Hall. The royal couple has decided to move to the countryside, as they want to have a private life away from the paparazzi and hustle bustle of the city life, according to the Express.
