Kate Middleton's Most Affordable Closet Favorites [PHOTOS]
Not just because Kate is the future Queen of England, it doesn't mean that she forgot her practical side when it comes to fashion. Here are some of her affordable picks and where to get them.
Before Catherine Middleton married Prince William of Wales, she was used to wearing reasonably priced clothes for her daily routines, and still, she continues this habit despite having the title as the Duchess of Cambridge. Recently spotted in stores such as Zara and Topshop and even repeating similar outfits at high profile events, Middleton proves that she kept her practical roots.
This stylish practice gave her the nickname "the practical princess," and here are some of her favorite items that most commoners can instantly get off the shelves.
Used to doing her own chores (such as grocery shopping) in their hometown of Angsley in London, the Duchess is usually spotted with RTW choices, such as a Lace Kimono Top by the fashion brand Warehouse, and denim 'Skyline' jeans by Paige. The Duchess was also spotted with an affordable Ralph Lauren purple cable knit sweater, which retails for less than $80 US.
When it comes to shoes, Kate is no stranger to regular brands as well. International shoe chain Nine West is known to be one of her favorites, particularly the Cheyanne Wedge she constantly wears on appearances. Kate is also a fan of shawls, donning a Minnie Rose Cashmere Ruffle Shawl during one of her grocery trips.
Also, who could forget the $86 periwinkle Zara dress Middleton wore the day after her royal wedding? It's not too often that a royal would wear such an affordable piece, making her truly a "practical princess" since she got into the royal family.
