After her famous Sports Illustrated cover, Kate Upton has landed her very first Vogue cover.

Kate Upton has reached the peak of her high fashion career as she lands her very first Vogue cover. After her famous stint on Sports Illustrated magazine, Kate has been picked by the elite fashion magazine, Vogue, to be on their cover.

After she was criticized by Victoria's Secret, Kate Upton proves that she has what it takes to be the face of a high fashion magazine. The famous lingerie brand has called her as "the kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy." It was a totally harsh and inappropriate comment which that 20-year-old proved wrong.

Kate graced the cover of Vogue Italia with a simple tagline written across, "Seductive." Looking like an old Hollywood bombshell, Kate wore a Fendi fur and a Patricia Field bustier. Upton was photographed by Steven Meisel for the November issue with a "Helmut Newton style" theme.

After her shot to fame with her Sports Illustrated model, Kate was famously shot down by Victoria's Secret. Perhaps her curvier figure wasn't preferred by the lingerie brand that prefers lean and skinny models like Alessandra Ambrosio or Miranda Kerr.

But her voluptuous figure might also be the reason why the Italian magazine handpicked Kate to be featured in their magazine. She was hailed by US Vogue magazine as "The New Girl." Kate also did a sexy photoshoot with Terry Richardson for GQ magazine.

"I didn't want a normal model. I wanted someone with a sensual body, someone who could be a mother for all these babies... I would not say she's a controversial model, but she's not a classic model. And I like that," said former Paris Vogue editor on Upton.

"I don't want to starve myself. I still want to hang out with my family and be a normal girl. You have to be confident, and that doesn't mean starving yourself," she said in her US Vogue interview last June.
"When I lived in Florida, the swimsuit was the key wardrobe piece. I lived ten minutes from the beach, but I never sat there and said, 'I want to be every man's fantasy.'"
