Aside from being exactly a week away from Christmas, Sunday had another thing going on: Katie Holmes' birthday.

Yes, the celebrity mom just turned 33, and from the looks of it, Holmes most likely celebrated it with her husband, Tom Cruise, and their daughter, Suri, in New York City. The whole family has been taking their time lately at their posh Big Apple apartment.

The morning saw the dashing actress head out to the Peridance Capezio Dance Center in Manhattan, which she had been frequenting for the past few days, reported the Daily Mail.

Holmes was yet to get her groove on as she kept it simple with black leggings, a sweater and lace-up ankle boots complemented with a red Clare Vivier messenger tote for her birthday morning outfit.

Joining them were Katie's parents, Kathleen Holmes and Martin Holmes, Sr., who came from their Connecticut home for the celebrations. They were seen departing an Upper West hotel for their own early stroll as well.

Kathleen didn't mind her casted foot at all, as she and dad tagged along the Cruises to see the Radio City Rockettes.

However, it's still the holidays, and the 'Dawson's Creek' star still has to be a mom, as Suri apparently is quite a handful when it comes to gifts. The Cruise daughter's 'white Christmas' amounted to a staggering $130,000.

A source tells In Touch Weekly, "Her number one wish is a pony".

The magazine adds that even though the 5-year-old already seemed to have everything she wanted, she asked for diamond earrings and beautiful dresses.

"Tom and Katie love the holidays and always go overboard to make sure Suri has a magical time," shared when asked about the gifts. "They are buying absolutely everything she asked for."

Wait, earrings and dresses? Looks like she might be taking tips from her stylish mother already.

Hopefully though, Suri will grow up just as classy and exceptionally humble like Katie, even with the glamour around her, like in the following photos:
