Actress Katie Holmes is reportedly feeling nervous and insecure about showing her collection at the New York Fashion Week. The 33-year old Holmes is busily preparing to show the latest collection from her label "Holmes & Yang" for the first time at the prestigious fashion event this September.

Katie Holmes is set to go on a head-to-head fashion battle with friend and fellow designer Victoria Bekcham.

"It's no secret that Victoria's career has been more successful than Katie's and there's more than an air of rivalry between the two," a source told United Kingdom magazine called Heat. "There seems to be a lot of tension between the two labels right now. Katie is feeling insecure and is having doubts about her efforts to do well," the source added.

Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham became good friends back in 2006 and they even attended the Paris Fashion Week together. However, their friendship was reported to have turned sour because of their fierce rivalry when it comes to fashion.

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes and her business partner Jeanne Yang have reportedly chosen to show their sartorial offering at the famous New York Fashion Week tents at the prestigious Lincoln Centre.

"This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business," a source revealed earlier this month.

In about a week, Katie Holmes will have a debut of her "Holmes & Yang" fashion show and she is going up against Victoria Beckham's collection. Obviously, the now professional fashion designer Katie Holmes will have a very busy week ahead of her. The actress was even spotted with her 6-year old daughter Suri and the two appear to have been running errands around the Big Apple.
