Katie Holmes the reality TV star? The “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” star is reportedly going to launch a reality show that will focus on her newly developed cooking skill.

According to Grazia magazine, Katie is plotting to become the next domestic goddess on television. Like Gwyneth Paltrow who has founded her own lifestyle company called Goop, Katie also wants a similar project.

“Katie admires how Gwyneth Paltrow has carved out a foodie career. She’s hoping this might be a great new direction for her,” a source told the magazine, which was quoted by Bang Showbiz.

“A number of prominent U.S. cable networks are interested in the show, which will see Katie learning to make different dishes, as well as concentrating on catering for children.

The report sounds improbable since the 35-year-old actress is known for being a private person who rarely talks to reporters. Being constantly hounded by paparazzi would not change that and only reinforces her stance.

But apparently, she wants to project a different image now.

She is said to be getting advice from top chef Matio Batali, who is also Gwyneth’s pal and one-time reality show co-star.

Katie, who has 7-year-old daughter Suri from ex-husband Tom Cruise, admitted that the times have changed for children.

“Children are exposed to so much more than we were. I suppose every generation goes through that feeling, ‘Oh my God, it’s so different from how I grew up,’” she told Elle UK magazine.

Even so, the basic principles of parenthood remain the same.

“I think the basics are very important: the number one thing is making sure my child feels love and good about herself. And that what she does and who she is is special and important, and should be celebrated,” she continued.

“And my mum always said, ‘No one loves you like your mother.’”
