Katy Perry Angry With Australian Media, Says They Have 'No Respect' And Are 'Inhuman'
Media and celebrities never get along well. Right from Kanye West to Justin Bieber, there have often been many incidents in the past where the celebs have shown their anger for the irrational behaviour of paparazzi. The latest celeb to bash the paparazzi is Katy Perry, who is not happy with treatment meted out to her by the Australian media, reveals NY Daily News.
The "Roar" singer has been so disturbed by the way she was treated by the paparazzi in Australia that she has posted an open letter to bash the media on Twitter. The singer alleges that she was "stalked" by many men when she went out on a beach and she "pleaded" them to give her some space but none of them listened to her. Check one such picture here.
Perry has also posted the pictures of a few men who tried to take her pictures as she wanted to have some quiet time. "You should be ashamed of your paparazzi and tabloid culture. Your paparazzi have no respect, no integrity, no character. NO HUMANITY," wrote Perry on Twitter, where she has 60.3 million followers. Check it out here.
The 28-year-old then went on to describe that she was "stalked" by many "grown men" when she went for a walk on a beach. She requested them to give her space but the men would not budge and continued to picture her without her consent. They also "laughed at her" as many other people too tried to stop them, alleges the singer.
"They told me to make a 'deal' with them. Give them a bathing suit shot and they would leave me be," said the actress in her Tweet. The singer said that she then clicked their pictures to post them online.
Katy Perry is currently on the 23-day Australian leg of her "Prismatic" world tour. Perry performed in Melbourne on Nov. 18 and 19, followed by two nights in Sydney on Nov. 21 and 22. Katy has earmarked the year 2014 for various shows throughout Oceania and Australian tours are the part of it. The "Teenage Dream" singer is scheduled to conclude her "Prismatic World Tour" in Europe in January, reveals Daily Mail.
