If you are a fan of Katy Perry, then to see her latest look will not surprise you at all. But for those who are not followers of the 'Teenage Dream' star, then you would not recognize her at all in her character in 'Raising Hope.'

Katy tweeted her photo from the set in her prison guard character look. She was not seen in her usual 2012 short blue hair but instead wearing a 'curly red wig.' She will be seen soon in several weeks' time for the March 6 episode of 'Raising Hope.' She plays the role of Rikki who is the prison guard of the character of Shannon Woodward.

It was with E! Online that Katy shared that Shannon Woodward is a good friend of hers and hence making her personally connected with the show. She shared that she was just home weeks ago when the actress called her and gave her an idea to do something fun and that is to appear as guest on the show.

Perry wore the wig along with the complete prison guard attire. She also put on some fake facial hair to make the role more hilarious. Perry said that the runner of the show, Greg Garcia was very nice to her but she said with a joke that she hopes her career in the future will not be affected by typecasting her in the funny character look. This is for the reason that she is open to do a lot of things that are more challenging in the future.

Garcia on the other hand shared also that the charming pop star did a good job for the guest spot. So will you watch out for this 'Raising Hope' episode?
