Singer Katy Perry is encouraging her good friend Robert Pattinson to just go out and have fun after his much publicized split with actress Kristen Stewart.

The "Twilight" heartthrob actor might still be devastated after finding out that his girlfriend of almost four years cheated on him with a married film director. His close gal pal Katy Perry has been determined in helping Pattinson move on.

According to reports, Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry had dinner together at the Los Angeles Soho House Restaurant.

"Last Thursday night, Katy and Rob met up at the Soho House in West Hollywood for a bite. They are close friends and can just be themselves when they are with each other," a source told the website HollywoodLife.com. "Katy has been trying to be as supportive as she can for Rob. She understands what he's going thru and wants to help him. Katy has been urging Rob to go out and be silly and have fun!" the source further shared.

Sources claimed that Perry and Pattinson's rendezvous at the Soho House was not a romantic date at all and it just simply shows the supportive kind of friendship that they have. The two have a lot in common besides their promising career, weird sense of humor and the love for music.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson's recent fun dinner almost became an awkward and embarrassing moment when John Mayer showed up at the Soho House.

Even though the "Part of Me" singer's now ex-boyfriend John Mayer was also there on the same night, they managed to avoid having an interaction at the restaurant. Mayer was reportedly flirting with some girls.

"Katy only stayed for about an hour. Lucky for her because John Mayer ended up showing up to the Soho House about an hour later and was flirting with some girls. Rob left about 15 minutes after John arrived. The two did not interact," the source revealed.
