After Miley Cyrus, there is another singer who has decided to stop Googling herself to attain her peace of mind and she is Katy Perry. The "Roar" singer admitted using the Google email alerts service for knowing what the media is writing about her. But Katy apparently lost her peace of mind reading what all was written about her, hence she has decided to stop the alerts about her name and pay no heed to anything.

"My image is just something superficial. I also try not to pay attention to what other people think of me. I used to have Google alerts set up, which would notify me about everything that was being written about me. But I've stopped all that now. After all; there are more important things in life," the 28-year-old said, according to Perez Hilton.

Perry has simply followed the footsteps of "Wrecking Ball" singer Miley Cyrus who also admitted in one of the interviews that she does not want to Google about herself to avoid reading any criticism and negative comments written about her.

Perry does not have many critics but has to give time to her boyfriend John Mayer and their budding relationship. The guitarist is planning to propose to Katy Perry in some time and is pondering over the kind of ring she would like. He has also been heard calling Katy his "wife," according to a source from Life and Style magazine.

''He kept calling Katy his wife. He said things like, 'I just do whatever the wife says' and then both of them would laugh. It was like looking at an old married couple.''

The two have been together since long now and Mayer helped Katy bounce back to normal life post her divorce from Russel Brand. The couple has their ups and downs just like a normal people and have been going strong.

''Relationships are kind of like riding a bull. You hang on for dear life. Sometimes you get a little buck here and there and sometimes you get things thrown at you but you get back on," Perry recently said on the show "Good Morning America" about her relationship with Mayer.
