Katy Perry & Kristen Stewart Cat Fight Over Movie Role
A cat fight has once again brewed in the lovely tinsel town that is Hollywood. Rumor has it that "Twilight" chick, Kristen Stewart is fighting over a film role with singer and songwriter, Katy Perry. Are the rumors even true and what film role are the stars even fighting over?
In Hollywood where the lives of past celebrities are being made into movies, someone in the business would be attracted to the role. For Katy Perry, it was love at first sight when the news of a biopic of Freddie Mercury's life would be made. Perry was reportedly vying for the role as Mary Austin, the one and only lady love of the singer, Freddie Mercury who had died due to AIDS.
"Katy would love to be in the film as she is such a huge fan. She would want to play Mary Austin ideally. Katy has a similar look to Mary and would be a brilliant foil to Sacha," said a source to The Mirror.
However, Katy appears to have some competition for the highly-coveted role. Rumor has it that "Twilight" actress, Kristen Stewart is also eyeing the role of Mary Austin. If that doesn't tick Katy Perry off, another celebrity who wants the role as well is singer, Lady Gaga.
"Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kristen Stewart are on the short list for Mary, who played a huge role in Freddie's life. They all desperately want the part, and it's getting ugly!" claims a source to Star Magazine.
Sacha Baron Cohen, who has been cast as Freddie Mercury, is in charge of choosing his leading lady. Yet, it looks like choosing won't be so easy.
"With the girls fighting like this, it's just hurting their chances of getting the part," explained the source.
"It's unprofessional, and Sacha is tired of the back-and-forth - he wants to choose one of them and be done with it."
Hopefully, all this cat-fight talk is just rumors and nothing else. Everyone in Hollywood knows how close Katy Perry is to Stewart's beau, Robert Pattinson. If a cat fight does ensue over the role of Mary Austin, Pattinson can bid adieu to his friendship with Katy Perry.
