Katy Perry has unleashed her humanitarian side in the year 2013 when she became the UNICEF ambassador. The "Roar" singer is continuing the trend this year too as she has been roped in by pop diva Madonna for her Art for Freedom charity project. Katy disclosed the news to her fans on her Twitter page and asked them to unleash their talent for the ultimate pop diva - Madonna. But what is the charity all about. Let's find out.

In September 2013, Madonna launched an art cum charity project with Vice Magazine and gave it the name Art for Freedom. The project asks users to submit anything related to their creative side - be it a painting, video, song, poem or inner thoughts that are based on the theme of international freedom. Every month Madge and the team choose the winner and $10,000 is given to a charity of their choice.

For the month of January 2014, Madonna has roped in Katy Perry to help her choose the winner. Ultimately, the winner will bag the big prize too. Madonna's Guest curator was equally excited to be the part of the project and asked her fans to come together for the project.

"Honored to be curating Art for Freedom w/ Madonna this month!" Katy Perry tweeted. "Now I'm calling all of my incredibly creative KatyCats to use their talent to show Madonna and me how they express their freedom," said Perry in a statement. "I believe that 2014 can be a year of great social change. Together we can all stand up for Human Rights."

"Art can change the world, but first it needs to be seen and heard. Katy Perry and I are asking you to be that voice and show us how you define freedom in 2014.This will be a year of monumental changes for human rights, and we want you to be a part of that change. Let us hear from you," said Madonna in a statement.

So what are you waiting for? Go check out ArtForFreedom.com and submit your best video/painting/poem/song or even a photograph on the subject of freedom. You will be rewarded with a whopping $10,000 to help a non-profit organisation of their choice. Anything that Katy Perry and Madonna will like can make you a winner. Madonna will choose a different guest curator every month for her project.

Madonna asked magician and illusionist David Blaine to do the honours in December 2013 and wants to hear from every creative person on this earth. Are you one of them?
