Katy Perry put down her foot on Lady Gaga's "Alejandro"video. The music star said she was "downright" offended by the music video.

In an interview with the Rolling Stone, Perry explains "I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.

"Yes, I said I kissed a girl. But I didn't say I kissed a girl while f**king a crucifix." Perry was referring to her hit single "I Kissed a Girl." She also once donned a squirting cupcake brassiere for one of her music video.

In "Alejandro," Lady Gaga appeared in a red nun latex costume eating a rosary.

The pop star's roots are in gospel music and she was raised by Christian pastor parents.

Ironically, in an article that appeared in New York Times, Katy Perry is one of the female artists cited that had been influenced by Lady Gaga. "[Lady Gaga] has nudged loose conventional boundaries. The space for women in pop to try out new aesthetic identities hasn't been this vast in some time."
