Katy Perry Texted Kristen Stewart To Deny Robert Pattinson Relationship

Katy is coming forward to say that she reached out to Kristen after the breakup to reassure her that she and Rob were just friends, and the singer texted Stewart to clear the air over reports she was hooking up with Robert Pattinson.

In the September issue of ELLE UK magazine, Katy admits to contacting Kristen after reports claimed the pop star was dating Rob, according to the UK's Daily Mail.

With a relationship saga as dramatic as their film franchise, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart just don't seem to be able to handle it. Katy Perry has admitted she tried her best to assure Kristen Stewart that she's not after her sloppy seconds after a string of sightings with Robert Pattinson.

The 'Wide Awake' singer came clean on the awkward fame triangle in a candid interview, admitting she's been licking her own wounds after her on-off lover John Mayer dumped her earlier this year.

On her showdown with K-Stew, Perry revealed: 'I sent her a text message saying: "I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person. I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of tits."'

After assuring her 23-year-old rival that she and the 27-year-old hunk just have a platonic chemistry, the divorcee tended to her own love woes after 35-year-old Mayer gave her the boot in February.

'He pulled away. That was a big hello for me,' said the 28-year-old, as she smouldered on the cover of Elle magazine.

'I realised I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have,' Perry explained.

'You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another. In relationships, it was hard for me to speak up and set boundaries. I think a lot of that was to do with the fear of loss.'

After being burnt during her 14-month marriage to Russell Brand, Perry said she's done with conventional romance after reconnecting with Mayer.

She added: 'The men I have gone for are challenging, yes, but they're also wildly intelligent and poetic. . . I'm not interested in taming anyone - I'm pretty wild myself.'

If anyone can help Pattinson overcome the feeling of betrayal it's Perry. In her first Vogue cover in more than half a decade the singer explained what exactly went wrong in her relationship with the British comedian.

"Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011," she continued. "I do admit that I was on the road a lot. Although I invited him time and time again, and I tried to come home as much as I possibly could. You saw that in the movie."

Perry tried going from one ladies' man to another, this time John Mayer. Unfortunately that, too, resulted in heartache. Nevertheless, she doesn't seem to hold any grudges "All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind. Beautiful, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds," Perry said in her interview.

Is that proof that Perry has now moved on with KStew's ex?
