The ex-husband of "Teenage Dream" sensation Katy Perry, Russell Brand, was cited in a police report for criminal damages filed by a paparazzi photographer, Timothy Jackson.

The incident happened in New Orleans where the British comedian and actor allegedly grabbed Jackson's iPhone and smashed it to pieces as it also broke a window. According to Jackson, Brand took his phone all of a sudden as he was with a group of other photographers.

It seemed that Brand just flipped out, as some celebrities really do at times when irritated with too much paparazzi. It was not mentioned though where exactly in New Orleans or which building window he eventually broke with the phone.

According to the TMZ report, the entire case is still being investigated and that the detectives on the case are still wishing to speak directly to Brand who is currently linked to Oriela Amieiro.

It can be recalled that it was just last 2010 when he was also arrested for battery charges when he attacked another paparazzo at the international airport of Los Angeles. He did not go through punishment with the help of his lawyers settling it at the City Attorney's Office of Los Angeles.
