The video, filmed in Junglescope, shows her surviving a plane crash in the jungle. Timid Perry gathers courage to move ahead in the jungle with his selfie-obsessed boyfriend (oh the pouts he make are damn funny). Sadly, the selfie-taking boyfriend ends up eaten by a ferocious tiger.

Timid in the beginning, our Perry is strong enough to face the challenges of the jungle life. Soon, a swarm of fireflies gather around her and the first chorus kicks in, and from there on, we get to see the new queen of the jungle. As the video nears its end, Katy Perry is seen nail painting an elephant and making spears out of black heels. Wait, was it a dream? Find out for yourself.

Katy Perry's "Roar" music video arrives one day after the song reached the top of the Hot 100 chart beating Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," providing Perry her another No. 1 taking the tally to eight as reported by Billboard. Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Pharrell, topped the chart for 12 weeks. Can Perry's "Roar" beat "Blurred Lines" on the chart? Well, we have to wait for that, until then we have this roaring music video to enjoy.
