Katy Perry has slammed her fellow female pop stars for being naked to gain publicity.

According to DNAIndia.com, the 29-year-old singer told US Radio Station NPR that she herself has stripped a lot before but there is no need to show your skin every time to become popular.

"It's nice to play the sexy card, but one doesn't always have to use it" Perry said.

This statement has come from Perry after Miley Cyrus' scandalous VMA performance. So is Perry's comment directed towards Miley Cyrus?

When asked is there any particular singer she feels crossing the boundaries of skin show, Perry said, "I'm not talking about anyone in particular, I'm talking about all of them. I mean everybody's so naked. We know you've got it, I've got it too. I've taken it out here and there and I'm not necessarily judging."

We totally agree with the "Roar" singer here. In the past few months, we have seen every singer from Rihanna, Nikki Minaj, Miley Cyrus to Lady Gaga posting their naked and outrageous pics on social media. But it cannot be ignored that in many instances Perry herself has dressed provocatively.

Perry dressed in a black lingerie for the cover of "Complex" magazine. On the cover, John Mayer's girlfriend is shown looking seductively into the camera with a finger pursed in between her lips.

When Perry was in wedlock with Russel Brand she was spotted in a UK flag inspired cleavage revealing dress.

For the March 2010 edition of Rolling Stone, Perry posed in her underpants and bra. Leaving her bra hook open, Perry left very less to the imagination.

Once again in the Maxim 2011 cover, Perry sexed up in a leather accented black sleep wear with her bust popping out.

For 2011 Australian FHM magazine cover, Perry even went naked.

With so many scandalous pics to her credit, we wonder why suddenly Katy Perry is advocating "no-skin show."
