The two singing divas, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus were quite a hit at 2013 MTV Awards. However amid high drama and super charged performances of MTV awards, one of the damsels suffered a big loss on her latest single.

The damsel was Katy Perry whose top chartbuster "Roar", was removed by the iTunes (due to a technical glitch) to give the top slot to Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball."

So can we say that Miley Cyrus's balls wrecked the roar of Katy Perry?

iTunes did the deed of erasing Katy Perry's latest single, "Roar" from the music charts which automatically gave Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" the top spot. Not only did Miley's single benefitted from this error, but there was a huge jump in sales of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines and Avicii's Wake Me Up and Lorde's Royals.

Katy's Perry's Roar was replaced by her album "Prism". However it proved ineffective for those looking to download her single. At first the removal of "Roar "gave 'Blurred Lines' the top slot but in no time Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking balls" stole the spot. As compared to Miley's previous single "We can't..." "Wrecking Ball" has connected to her fans more, owing to its emotional tune.

Also we all are aware about the popularity of Katy Perry's album 'Prism' and even if it did replace her single 'Roar' there was no significant drop in the sales of the single (as per the iTunes sales statistics). Perry has even teased out a preview of two new single "Dark Horse" and "Walking on air" from the same album at the evening of MTV awards. The complete version of these songs would see the light of day on Sept 15.
