'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Recap: Kim fears Kourtney will get back together with Scott
In this week’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Khloe Kardashian heads to Australia to launch the latest Kardashian Kids collection. Back at home in Calabasas, former couple Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are trying to figure out how to co-parent while living apart.
Since Kourtney has three small children and is going through a separation, she is unable to join Khloe, on the Kardashian Kids launch in Australia. Likewise, Kim Kardashian is also unavailable. She is currently pregnant, and is in the process of renovating her home.
Khloe, the only one among the three Kardashian girls who doesn’t have kids, is ironically left to launch their kids clothing line. She ends up bringing her best friend Malika Haqq, and her hair stylist Jen Atkin, to accompany her down under. While there, she has a discussion with Malika, and they decide that she needs to speak to her sisters about sharing the workload more evenly.
Upon her return, Khloe meets up with Kourtney and Kim, and airs out her grievances. She tells them that she hardly has a personal life anymore. Kim jokingly says that she should get pregnant so that she could use it as an excuse to get off work. Meanwhile, Kourtney agrees that she and Kim should step it up, and promises to take on more responsibilities in the family’s businesses.
Elsewhere, Kim is scared that Kourtney might get back together with Scott. She tries to keep an eye on her sister and hangs out around her often. She asks Kourtney about her plans for Scott and the kids, and Kourtney says that she wants to keep things as normal as possible. Kourtney talks about Scott’s cycle of dual personalities, where he can be responsible and appreciative for a few months, then he would go on a crazy alcoholic binge that’s worse than the last one.
Just when Kim is getting convinced that Kourtney will hold her ground, she catches Scott spending the night at the house the former couple used to share. Kim is literallly sitting in the kitchen with Kourtney, when Scott walks in, clearly straight out of bed. Kim is concerned and shares the news with their mom.
Kris Jenner thinks that Kourtney is handling things with Scott really well. However, she decides to have a little chat with Scott to hear his side of what’s going on. She asks Kourtney for permission, and she agrees, granted that they don’t meet up in public.
Kim confronts Kourtney about the little sleepover and Kourtney explains what happened. She says that Scott needed a place to stay before entering rehab. He didn’t feel comfortable in his Beverly Hills pad alone, and being around the kids at their former home was the best way to keep him on track before entering the rehab facility. She also said that having him around made her see even more what kind of a toxic personality he has and how much she does not want to take him back .
Meanwhile, Scott drops by at Kris’ house and he complains that Kourtney is not letting him into the house to see his kids. He says that they agreed to having an open door policy for him and the kids, but now she wants every visit to be scheduled and hs even removed his automatic access into their gated community.
Kris calls Kourtney and asks her to explain herself. She says that she did have an open door policy but has decided against it now. She explains that Scott flakes too often and doesn’t even sit down for dinner with the kids. Instead, he sits in another room and only minds his phone. She also points out that he flaked out on being there for their first day of school.
She tightens up the rules and Scott is unwilling to abide by them. Kris tells him bluntly that unfortunately, he needs to do as she says in order to gain back her trust. After his major indiscretions that led to their breakup, he would have to suck it up and take it like a man.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim asks Kris if she could move back in with her. She, her husband Kanye West, and their daughter North, need a place to stay while workers renovate their sprawling mansion. Kris is reluctant to let them move back in, because Kim completely took over her house when the first round of home renovations were done. The West family stayed for nearly two years the last time, and Kris was too overwhelmed.
In the end, when Kylie Jenner refuses to host the West family, Kris is forced to let them move back in but she is shocked to learn that they will be staying for six months. She initially thought that it would only be for a few weeks.
