Ke$ha is currently in a rehab facility, undergoing treatment for eating disorder. According to a report by Daily Mail, Pebe Sebert, Ke$ha's mother says that the "Timber" singer "nearly died" due to starving herself.

"[The doctors] told me her blood pressure and sodium were so low they'd never seen that, except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke," said Ke$ha's 57 year-old mother to People, adding, "They said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead onstage."

On January 3, 2014, she was admitted into the Timberline Knolls treatment centre for anorexia and bulimia. Pebe, who visited the facility for PTSD, blamed both manager David Sonnenberg and producer Lukasz Gottwald for her daughter's condition.

"I've watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight - to the point that she almost died," said Ke$ha's mother.

Pebe recalled an incident from Ke$ha's early days in her career and stated that David yelled at her (Ke$ha) during a conference call.

"You need to lose weight! I don't care what you do, take drugs, not eat, stick your finger down your throat." However, according to People, David denied the claims.

Pebe mentioned that it was Lukasz' bad comments that did the damage.

"After she lost weight...he said, "Thank God you finally got rid of all that weight! We've all been talking about it!" said Pebe.

He also compared Ke$ha to a refrigerator.

"It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is seemingly suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health," said Lukasz to People.

Pebe also rubbished that rumours that Ke$ha is being treated for alcohol addiction.

"As a recovering alcoholic, I know what that looks like," said Pebe.

"She barely even drinks anymore. The more serious the eating disorder got, the more she didn't drink, because it was empty calories she didn't want."
