Keith Richards may not reprise his role as Captain Teague, father of Captian Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp in the up coming fourth sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Disney is reportedly considering cutting Richards off from the film to make it more family-friendly. The rumours came out after Keith Rickards released his memoir Life where he allegedly advocates drug use.

However, a representative from Bruckheimer Films called on Movieline that the rumours circulating on cyberspace were "complete and utter nonsense." The representative said that Richards will remain as a cast member for the film.

Richards made a cameo appearance in 2007 film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. His cameo role as Captain Jack Sparrow's father won the Best Celebrity Cameo award at the 2007 Spike Horror Awards. Previous report said Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is currently in talks with Richards about reprising his role.
