Australian singer Keith Urban has confirmed that he would be performing live at The Oprah Winfrey Show in Australia.

Keith Urban was in The Oprah Winfrey Show this week where he confirmed his performance at the much anticipated episodes set to be shot in Sydney this December. Urban is at present promoting his sixth studio album Get Closer to in the United States.

However, the Australia singer did not comment on rumours that his wife Nicole Kidman will also be on the Oprah Winfrey's Australian shows. The shooting for the show will take pon December 14 in Sydney Opera House.

Oprah's trip to Australia is part of the country's tourism promotion with funding from the federal and NSW government. The visit is in partnership with Qantas and is partly financed by Tourism Australia and the NSW government.

It will also be the first Oprah Winfrey episode to be filmed outside the United States. The episode featuring Oprah's eight day trip to Australia will also mark the start of the show's 25th and final season.
