Australian singer Keith Urban is set to head back to his roots, Tamworth, as he kicks off his Get Closer world tour next year. Urban's Get Closer tour begins on April 8th in Adelaide next year.

Urba will not perform at the 2011 Tamworth COuntry Music Festival which helped launched his career when he won his first Golden Guitar award. The festival ends on January 23 but Tourism Tamworth is convinced that Keith Urban's April concert will be a success. Urban's concert in Tamworth will be the only one played outside capital cities in April.

After its kick off concert in Adelaide, Get Closer will see Urban head to Melbourne then Tamworth on April 12 for a concert at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment centre. The concert tour will then move to Sydney and Brisbane as its last stop. Tickets for Uban's concerts will go on sale on January 21.

Urban, his wife Nicole Kidman and daughter, are back in Australia. Keith and Nicole will be filming for The Oprah Winfrey Show tomorrow at the Syndey Opera House.
