Kelly Osbourne Emotional, Thinks People Are Too Concerned About Joan Rivers' Replacement in Fashion Police
Kelly Osbourne is still grieving over Joan Rivers. In addition, she does not understand why people are too concerned over the Rivers' position on the show rather than Rivers herself.
Kelly Osbourne hates it that some people are more concerned about E! show '"Fashion Police's" fate and Joan Rivers' replacement than mourning over Joan Rivers. She said it's just too soon to talk about replacing her late mentor and the legendary comedienne on the show.
In an interview with NBC's Today show, the 30-year old shared that she has not been able to grieve properly yet. Aside from feeling really down with the comedienne's passing last September, she also said that she's angry that people are showing more concern for the future of "Fashion Police," the E! show that she and Joan Rivers are in, alongside Giuliana Rancic and George Kosiopoulos.
'"Not one person that I have seen or walked up to me or spoken to since the day she passed has ... the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, 'Who's replacing Joan?'" Kelly shared. She added that because she's currently in the "angry phase" of her grieving, it is not a good time for her.
When one of the NBC show's anchors, Al Roker, answered that Joan was indeed irreplaceable, the became emotional and requested for a change in the subject. "Can we please move on so I don't cry on morning TV?" Kelly tearfully asked.
After Joan's passing, the show "Fashion Police" entered a rocky phase, with many questioning whether it would still make a comeback. Later it was announced that with Joan Rivers' daughter Melissa Rivers' blessing, the show will come back and kick off in 2015.
Joan Rivers certainly made a mark with her critic skills on "Fashion Police." E! reported that she got a special posthumous honor for it. Two months after she passed away, she had been nominated for a Women's Image Network Award for hosting the hit E! show Fashion Police. She's up for the title of Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in last year's "September Issue" episode of Fashion Police.
