Kendall Jenner Is Changing The Face Of Fashion With Three Covers For Dazed Magazine
Kendall Jenner is not only the model of the moment as she's been dubbed by VOGUE Magazine, she's also being touted to be the one to change the face of fashion according to Dazed Magazine. The reality star turned high fashion model graces three different covers for the magazine this month as the headliner in the magazine's top 100 cultural renegades.
Kendall Jenner tops the list of the Dazed 100, a new generation of men and women that the magazine has chosen to be the ones to change the faces of the fashion, film, art and music industries. Jenner appears in three different covers for Dazed in the same week that her older sister Kim Kardashian also appeared for three covers for ELLE Magazine.
Proud momager Kris Jenner posted a copy of all three covers featuring Kendall on her Instagram site commenting that it's been a crazy week for her and her famous family. The first cover which was chosen by Kendall's sister Kourtney as her favourite features the teenager in a colourful outfit by Junya Watanabe. Kndall is clutching a red teddy bear in the photo with her hair tucked inside a headpiece reminiscent of Queen Amidala from "Star Wars".
Another one of Kendall's sisters, Khloe Kardashian went the other way and chose a black and white cover of Kendall wearing a Marc Jacobs trench coat. The final cover is a spliced up composite of both imagaes which was created by Instagram artist Doug Abraham.
An interview accompanied Kendall's photo spread and E News reported that she cleared out all the rumours about the bullying and hazing that she supposedly faced from other models when she entered the scene. Shortly after her appearance in New York Fashion Week this summer, reports surfaced that some models had been mean to her with others even going as far as putting out cigarettes in her drink. Kendall said that none of this really happened and that all of the girls have so far been nice to her.
Kendall also reportedly spoke about how much she appreciates the support that her family has been giving her. She said that she gets texts from each of them every time she has a show and it doesn't matter to them how many she's done already. She also pointed out that she was pleasantly surprised to receive a compliment from her brother-in-law Kanye West who told her that he's proud of her.
Other notable names that were included in the Dazed 100 are Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing as well as GIa Coppola, Miles Anderson, Kelele and J.W. Anderson. The list includes several othe rup and coming artists and performers who are making an impact in their respective industries. Kendall headlines the list after her career took off like a rocket in the past year alone. Apart from appearing in the most prestigious runways, she has recently been announced as the new face of cosmetics brand Estee Lauder and she has also bagged a deal with Karl Lagerfeld to do the campaign for his Eponymous Line. Copies of Dazed Magazine will be hitting newsstands today, Nov. 27 and is also available for online subscribers.
