Kerry Advocates for Military Action in Syria
John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State, expressed strong justifications regarding the military action of the country in Syria. He said that undeniable evidences had been found that confirmed the recent chemical attack.
Intelligence reports emphatically signals that President Bashar Al-Assad's government has been responsible for the chemical attack. Mr Kerry believes that the attack last week must shake the world with its conscience.
There have been indiscriminate killings of civilians. It is morally obscene to murder innocent bystanders, children and women with chemical weapons. No matter what equivocation is manufactured, the act is inexcusable by every standard, Mr Kerry added. He also made it clear why a nation must face the music for violating international norms.
President Barack Obama made it clear in 2012 in a speech that using chemical weapons would be unacceptable. If any country like Syria used chemical weapons as a means of attacking general people, it would be like crossing a red line.
On the contrary, the White House seemed to have been responsible for allowing Syria to go beyond the line. Other stronger countries in Europe should also be blamed for the same. It has been two years since the civil war started in Syria.
Mr Obama is expected to give an official reaction on Tuesday even though it has already been considered late for him to respond on the situation. On the other hand, the U.S. is about to make a public statement on Syria shortly, according to administration officials who spoke to theglobaandmail.com.
The officials insist on staying anonymous as they are not allowed to have a public discussion on internal deliberations.
There have been strong arguments in favour of holding the Assad regime responsible for the chemical attack. Several nations have already started considering actions to reprimand the Assad regime due to the heinous act. The international brotherhood aims to focus on placing forces in huge number to change the course of the Syria unrest with an immediate effect.
Meanwhile, they would also like to consider any other less aggressive option which may improve the situation. Nevertheless, the options seem to be pretty limited at the moment.
