The NBA has announced its 2013-14 All-NBA Teams led by Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and LeBron James of the Miami Heat and joined by Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers, Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls and James Harden of the Houston Rockets.

Not surprisingly, Durant, who also won the 2013-14 NBA Most Valuable Player award, garnered the most number of votes-- 125 coming from first team votes for a total of 625 points. This is the OKC superstar’s fifth selection in the All-NBA First Team, his fifth consecutive since 2010.

James appears in the first team selection for the eighth time in his career while Paul is in for the fourth time. Harden and Noah are in the prestigious list for the first time in their respective careers.

Meanwhile members of the 2013-14 All-NBA 2nd Team are Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Blake Griffin (Clippers), Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves), Dwight Howard (Rockets) and Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs).

Making the 2013-14 All-NBA 3rd Team were Al Jefferson (Charlotte Bobcats), Paul George (Indiana Pacers), LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland Trail Blazers), Goran Dragic (Phoenix Suns) and Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers).

Curious omissions from the All-NBA selections are Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Tim Duncan (Spurs), Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans), and Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks). All of whom have received votes but did not make it to the top of the list.

According to NBA.com, “the All-NBA Teams were chosen by a panel of 125 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. The media voted for All-NBA First, Second and Third Teams by position with points awarded on a 5-3-1 basis.”
