Prime Minister Kevin Rudd seemed to be twitchy fourteen days before the Federal Election 2013 that he had annoyed Griffith voters and been hard on himself campaigning 5 am on Friday.

He had all reasons to be twitchy as the Galaxy poll shows that Sydney voters were already leaving him.

Snubbing Griffith

Mr Rudd cancelled out of a candidate's debate in Griffith during the last minute and sent Labor Senator Claire Moore instead to face the discerning voters.

Mr Rudd had already agreed to the debate schedule six weeks ago but only decided to cancel on Thursday morning due to some other priorities. It seemed like Griffith is not on the priority list after all.

Mr Rudd was supposedly to debate against Dr Bill Glasson.

In an interview with ABC News, Mr Glasson said that Griffith was unimpressed.

''The fact that they had registered in good faith, to hear what he had to say, and then at such short notice not to turn up - they were quite angry and quite vocal, I think it was unfortunate because Senator Claire Moore had to step in, and she had to take heat on an issue that in fact he should have taken," Mr Glasson said.

He said that cancelling on the last minute was somewhat insulting for the Griffith voters.

"Look it's not a snub to me, it's a snub to the people of Griffith. The important message here is that this was not going to be Mr Rudd the Prime Minister, this was Mr Rudd the Member for Griffith. It was an opportunity for the people of Griffith to see Bill Glasson and Mr Rudd side by side, as I said to test our views, our values, what I stand for," Mr Glasson said.

In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Mr Rudd said that he already had a long debate with Mr Glasson during his campaign in Griffith and he has high respect to Mr Glasson.

Mr Rudd seemed unable to control his edginess that he had reportedly been too difficult to handle for a make-up artist assigned to him during his debate with Tony Abbott on Wednesday.

Worst Client for Makeup Artist

Liliy Fontana, a Brisbane makeup artist, posted this on Facebook:

"Just finish doing Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott's makeup for the People's Forum at Broncos Leagues Club. One of them was absolutely lovely, engaged in genuine conversation with me, acknowledge(d) that I had a job to do and was very appreciative," she said on her page, which is public. The other did the exact opposite! Oh boy, I have [n]ever had anyone treat me so badly whilst trying to do my job. Political opinions aside ... from one human being to another ... Mr Abbott, you win hands down."

Ms Fontana's post was shared 1,200 times on Facebook, according to the Australian Associated Press.

Former Labor Prime Minister Bob Hawke was quick to protect Mr Rudd from tirades.

''Let's assume that this report is right, that Kevin was a bit rude to the make-up artist. Let's assume that's correct. If you're an intelligent voter, what's going to be more important to you - the fact that under a great deal of pressure the Prime Minister was just in passing a bit rude to a person, or that he is going to have for your kids and your grandchildren a better education policy, a better health policy, a better economic policy? What's the thing that's going to determine your vote for God's sake?''

Out and About in a Market at 5:30AM

Mr Rudd was obviously hell-bent to win this election as he filled his Friday schedule with all the campaigning he can do.

Mr Rudd was seen charming his way to voters at the Flemington Markets in Sydney at 5:30am. He engaged in chit-chats with growers and wholesalers about his future plan for small business owners.

Later, he met with a family who owns a Lebanese food shop in South Granville. He also made a stop at a café in Toongabie to win the votes of electorates of Greenway.

At 8 am he was already appearing in a television interview with Channel 9 and heard over radio to express his fear about the Labor loosing the Sept 7 election according to some surveys.

"We entered this campaign as underdogs, I'm a fighter. We're just past the half-time hooter."

Sydney Leaving Rudd

According to The Galaxy Poll published by News Corporation, labor was already losing votes from Reid, greenway, Lindsay, banks and Werriwa.

In Saturday, Reachtel poll also revealed that Labor was also losing three western Sydney seats.

Meanwhile, The Australian reported that Peter Beattie in Forde lagged behind Liberal National Party, Bert van Manen.
