After Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, she has already been rumoured to be rebounding very quickly by dating Dodgers star Matt Kemp.

Kardashian was seen with Kemp a few times, which could have sparked the chitchat about her dating the American professional baseball player. However, according to popular celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, the reality TV star is still "heartbroken" with her split from Lamar. A source told Hilton that Kardashian and Kemp's relationship is purely platonic.

"They are just friends and have been for a long time," said the source.

On the other hand, TMZ reports that there is indeed really something going on between Kardashian and Kemp. TMZ sources revealed that the two are just taking it one step at a time.

1. He dated actress Felisha Terrell and RnB singer Rihanna

Kemp dated American actress Felisha Terrell in 2004. They were rumoured to be already engaged when they parted ways. After their split, Terrell pursued her acting career. She landed a small role in the comedy action flick "Get Smart" as well as in the hit TV series "Entourage." RnB Singer Rihanna also used to date the baseball player. Rihanna and Kemp began dating in 2009, but later on broke up.

2. He is involved in charities.

Kemp likes to give back. He has extensively been involved with charity work all throughout his career. In 2008, he established his own charity for children called "Kemp's Kid." In May 2013, Kemp has pledged $1,000 for every home run he will make to help the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes. In addition to his pledge of $1,000, he also donated $250,000.

3. He had legal problems.

His ex-girlfriend Terrell accused him of verbal abuse and threats. She filed a restraining order against Kemp, but she later on dropped the complaint. When he was still in high school, he and his friends were accused of raping a 19-year-old girl. However, the alleged victim never filed a formal complaint.

Aside from playing baseball, Kemp is also good at playing basketball. He played ball when he was still in high school.

5. He is nicknamed as "The Bison."

It all started when Atlanta Braves TV announcer Don Sutton said that Kemp looked "like a big buffalo running around bases." It was later on changed to "The Bison" as it is much more appropriate for Kemp, who stands at 6 foot 4 inches and weighed 225 pounds at that time.
