Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence have been hailed as the new BFFs, following the series of photos snapped of the two hugging and taking time for a quick chat at The Oscars 2013. Will they remain BFFs as they face off at the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards?

Reports back then had Jennifer Lawrence consoling Kristen Stewart who was hobbling her way at the Academy’s red carpet photoline and on stage to present the best production design awards. Jennifer, with her compassionate self, was first to approach Kristen asking her “what happened.” Other stars like Anne Hathaway approached Kristen to wish her well.

But Jennifer Lawrence as Kristen’s new best friend (like Lindsay Lohan to Paris Hilton?) have consequently then emerged on the world wide web. Now the two could be hitting the headlines once again as they are expected to go head to head not just in one categories but two major awards at the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards.

K-Stew and J-Law are both nominated in the “Favourite Movie Actress” and the “Favourite Female Buttkicker” awards. As the leading lady of The Hunger Games, J-Law has caught the attention of the KCA organisers when she played the role of Katniss Everdeen. After winning the heart of the audience as Katniss fighting for her life in the television game show, will J-Law be good enough to pit against the equally popular K-Stew whose transformation at the final Twilight installment could actually earn her another KCA trophy?

Kristen’s performance at The Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn Part 2 had gone at multiple notches up from the usual “lone sufferer” that she was with sole expression in other Twilight series. And could the transformation she had gone through from being human to a vampire vixen could earn Kristen another KCA trophy? The On the Road star also won the Favorite Movie Actress award in 2012 KCA for the same role she played in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Aside from the Favorite Movie Actress category, Jennifer and Kristen will again compete in the Favourite Female Buttkicker award. Jennifer was again nominated for her fearless role as Katniss in The Hunger Games. But Kristen is nominated for a role not in Twilight series because she earned her second nomination for her title role as an equally fearless princess in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Jennifer Lawrence won the major Best Actress award at The Oscars 2013. Will this be her edge to beat Kristen Stewart? Kristen has had great post-Twilight role. She was Forbes’ highest paid actress in 2012 with a total earnings of $34.5 million. Kristen also ranked #7 on AskMen’s list of Top 99 Women for 2013.

Will K-Stew and J-Law remain BFFs after the KCA 2013? Other great female stars they are competing against are Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises); Vanessa Hudgens (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island); and Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers).

Hosted by Josh Duhamel, the 2013 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards showcases 22 awards and the ceremony will be held at the USC Galen Center, University Park, Los Angeles, at 8 p.m. E.T. (7pm CST). Check out the complete list of nominees here.
