'Killjoys' recap: 'Boondoggie'
In "Boondoggie," which was the episode prior to "A Skinner, Darkley," Fancy Lee (Sean Baek), Dutch, D'avin and Pree (Thom Allison) stormed a Hullen base. However, they only found one Hullen home there. Dutch and D'avin proceeded to the Reclamation Apprehension Coalition (RAC), where the latter learned about Johnny being one of the missing-in-action (MIA) agents.
Elsewhere, Johnny continued to look for Clara. He stumbled upon Ollie (Tommie-Amber Pirie) who had Clara's spec arm referred to as Alice. Ollie and Johnny decided to go to a hackmod bar to search for Clara there. They found out that hackmods were missing and that they were led to a trap that almost killed Ollie.
Meanwhile, Dutch and the crew hatched a plan to capture and kill some Hullen as well as deliver a message to the rest of them. This involved luring some Hullen and harvesting the black goo from their body. They planned on using it to kill other Hullen. They were able to successfully execute the plan, which enabled the team to escape captivity. Dutch also informed the Hullen about starting a war.
"Boondoggie" aired on June 30. It was written by Michelle Lovretta and directed by Stefan Pleszczynski.
