Kim Kardashian's interest in adopting an orphan girl from Thailand was apparently squashed as the girl decided against the idea. The girl reportedly wasn't ready to be adopted.

One of the April episodes of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" saw Kim Kardashian and her family on a trip to Thailand. Part of their trip included a visit to the ramshackle children's home in Thailand's Phang Nga province, which houses over 4,000 people who survived the 2004 tsunami. There she saw a 13-year-old girl whom she called Pink, whose sunny smile allegedly stole her heart. "I literally cannot stop thinking about her. I told (husband) Kanye, I was like, honestly, this girl is so sweet and so cute, like, I would honestly adopt her," Kim said on camera (see video below).

However, the reality star was reprimanded by her mother for treating adoption like a shopping trip. Quoted by The Independent, Kris Jenner told Kim that she just can't "go to an orphanage, fall in love with a child and take them home like you're shopping." "There are things that you could do that would make all the difference to this little girl's life without bringing her home, "she says.

Apparently, Kim Kardashian was so determined with the adoption. She reportedly even consulted the manager of the hotel resort about her decision. However, she was informed that Thailand's government "doesn't encourage" Thai children to be adopted by foreigners where they are removed from their home country.

Kim Kardashian apparently had to abandon the adoption idea. However, Pink, on the other hand, allegedly shook with excitement after learning that the reality star wanted to adopt her. According to Inquisitr, the orphan thought it would be such a "change of life" for her. However, on second thoughts, the child later decided against the idea for the sake of those she would leave behind. She supposedly also realised that being adopted by Kim Kardashian wouldn't be good for her since she wasn't ready to leave "so much behind."

Pink's adoption may not have ensued, but the orphan could not forget what happened when she and the reality star met. The orphan supposedly recalled she and Kim Kardashian had an instant connection when Kim smiled at her. Pink even commended the reality star for being pretty and having a nice personality.
