Kim Kardashian back to cyberspace after raising $1M for 'Keep A Child Alive'
Kim Kardashian is back from the digital dead after raising $1 million for a charity. Kardashian refrained from posting on her Twitter page in a bid to encourage her follwers to donate to Alicia Key's Keep a Child Alive organization.
The reality star immediately took to her blog to thank her followers for successfully raising the amount, which Kim said would go to those suffering from HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
"OMG you did it!! Today the one million dollar mark was reached for donations to Keep a Child Alive!" wrote Kardashian.
"Thank you so much to everyone who donated to Keep a Child Alive. Your donations and support will make amazing changes to the lives of thousands of people in Africa and India affected by HIV/AIDS."
As part of Digitial Death campaign, Alicia Keys and other celebrities like Kim Kardashian urged their followers to resurrect their online lives through texting the first name of the celebrity they miss on social media the most, to contribute to the cause. For one, Kim Kardashian has 5,498,015 followers on Twitter, many of whom would surely miss the reality star.
"I missed you guys so much this past week. It was really weird not being able to blog or tweet, but I'm so glad we were all able to pull together and raise so much for Keep a Child Alive! It's good to be back!!!," poste Kim.
Other celebrities who esurrected from their Digital Death are Lady Gaga, , Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Khloé Kardashian, Lenny Kravitz, Jay Sean, Swizz Beatz, Serena Williams and Janelle Monáe.
