Kim Kardashian West is standing by her husband for better of worse as she showed this week after Kanye West was hit by a lot of criticism following a concert in Australia where he allegedly asked members of the audience who were in a wheelchair to stand up. Kim defended her hubby through an Instagram post where she aired out her sentiments.

The incident occurred during Kanye's "Yeezus Down Under" tour stop in Sydney which was held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena on Sept. 12. The first of two shows in the city, Kanye engaged his audience by asking them to get on their feet and start dancing. He said that no one had an excuse not to be having fun unless they are in a wheelchair and Kim said as much in her Instagram post: "What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings"

By twisting things, Kim is referring to several headlines that came out the day after the incident in which Kanye was made to look like he had insisted that people with disabilities must stand up despite their obvious handicap. Kanye has been in the habit of asking audience members to interact with him in many previous concerts and asking them to stand up is nothing new. In the news report by Complex News, which shows a video of the incident, Kanye could clearly be heard saying that people in a wheelchair may remain seated. [video below]

According to various reports from the event, Kanye asked everyone to stand and when two members of the audience didn't comply, He asked staff and members of the audience to check and let him know if they were, in fact, handicapped. Upon finding out that they were wheelchair-bound, he carried on with the show without further ado. Videos of the incident have also been posted on YouTube by members of the audience who were in attendance.

Kim defended her husband after Kanye himself went into one of his famous rants during the final show of the tour which was held in Brisbane on Sept. 15. The tour was considered to be a great success despite the small controversy, which has now been labeled "Wheelchair-Gate." Kim and Kanye made appearances and other PR work apart from staging the concert tour and the small family were also able to enjoy some quality time together at Australia Zoo.
