Kanye West and Kim Kardashian never cease to be in news every day. The latest buzz to surround this publicity hungry couple is where Kim Kardashian is the muse of none other than Arizona based pop artists Monica Warhol. The famous artist has painted a colourful picture of the socialite and revealed the artwork to Touch Weekly magazine.

So why is this act in news? Anyone can paint Kim and get reported. But the point to note here is that Monica Warhol is reportedly related to famous pop culture artist, Andy Warhol. Andy was a revolutionary artist of the 1960's who became well-renowned for his experimental works on celebrity culture. To be painted by a Warhol means you are "Warholised." Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor were the artists who were painted by Andy Warhol.

"I am picking up where Andy left off, and Kim is the perfect addition to the Warhol legacy...There is no way Andy Warhol would not have painted her," said Monica to the In Touch Weekly magazine referring to his famous cousin Andy and also praised Kim's beauty to legendary celebrities.

"Kim is manufactured gorgeous and is beyond fabulous. How could Andy not have been inspired to paint her like he did Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor?," asks Monica.

The Warhol picture of Kim Kardashian can be seen here. The image is distinguished in a very colourful and almost kaleidoscopic way as Monica has used almost all shades of red and blues that she can imagine of.

"My style incorporates layers upon layers both hand drawn and in Photoshop, printed out and burned to individual silk screens, and is then hand-painted in the beginning, middle and the end," reveals Monica further about the colourful portrait.

Monica definitely seemed to enjoy the process of paining the fiancée of Kanye West and tweeted her excitement to her fans.

"Kim is all over me, covered in paint, if only I cleaned up as well as this beauty," tweeted the artist. It may be note worthy here that Kim Kardashian was not physically present for her portrait.

Apart from immortalising the 31-year-old socialite, Monica has also experimented with the portrait of rapper Flo Rida, Lenny Kravitz and Robert Dupont.

"I would also like to 'Warholify' Rihanna, Snoop, Wiz Khalifa, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry once I finish with Kim," added the legendary artist.
