Kim Kardashian hits critics after landing Forbes cover with "Not Bad For A Girl With No Talent" hashtag
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" has also reportedly been extended for four more years.
Kim Kardashian West has finally hit the top when she landed on the cover of Forbes magazine. She was labelled as the new mobile mogul and, with that, she hit back at her critics hard with the hashtag #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.
Kim is now considered a serious player in the business world. She is famously known as a master of self-promotion and a social media icon. Along with her family, she appears on the reality series by E! Network “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and has used her popularity as foundation for her fast growing digital empire. This made Forbes Magazine deem her worthy of being on their cover accompanied with the caption "The New Mobile Moguls."
She launched a mobile game called “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” back in June 2014. The game has been downloaded 45 million times and has generated $160 million in revenue. It is speculated that Kardashian West has taken home $45 million as personal revenue to date.
On July 11, she posted an image of the cover with the caption "Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes! I never dreamed this would happen & know my Dad would be proud." Then Kardashian ended the caption with a bang using the hashtag #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.
This is directed at critics who say that Kim does not have any talent at all, yet has gained millions by popularity alone. Her achievement is considered to be one of the jewels on her crown of being queen of social media, CNN shares.
Kardashian West said that she realized that she thinks the next cycle of her career will be focusing on business, NY Daily News points out. Other than her mobile game, Kim is also earning from her “kimojis,” which are emojis based on her life and her family’s life.
Other business ventures for the Forbes cover girl include DASH, a retail clothing boutique which she owns along with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney. More so, just recently the whole family signed a $100 million contract for the continuation of their TV series with E!, stretching as far as forward as four more years.
The magazine’s new issue also includes the annual list of the highest-earning celebrities around the world. Although Kim garnered $51 million in 2015, she only ranked 42nd in the list.
