Kim Kardashian, Kanye West baby son: Easton tops name bets
Kim Kardashian gave birth to her son with husband Kanye West on Saturday, Dec. 5. The couple has yet to reveal the name of their baby. However, bets have been high on Easton as his likely name followed by Robert, after the name of Kardashian’s father.
The name Easton gained the number one spot among punters over at Paddy Power with the odd result of 5/2. Mirror UK shared a screen shot of the bet results along with other likely names for Kardashian and West’s son. South came in second with 6/1 odds followed by Robert at 7/1.
Easton has long been a favourite of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star as well. In a previous interview with Ellen DeGeneres on “The Ellen Show,” the 35-year old mother-of-two revealed she likes the name Easton but doubts that West likes it too. However, South is not on the couple’s likely choice of name for their son.
“I don’t think we’ll go another direction. It’s definitely not South, every time someone says South, I just roll my eyes,” Kardashian tells DeGeneres in the video below.
Robert is said to be another option for the baby’s name. A source told US Weekly that the couple is thinking of having Robert as a tribute to her late father.
“I know they were doing Robert for the middle name in honor of her father,” the source said.
However, it may take some time before they decided on the name for their second child. The source told US Weekly that Kardashian and West already has a list of boy names and would decide on one when the baby arrives.
Chances are it might take a week for the couple to choose a name for their son, according to People. Their daughter North was reportedly given her name nearly a week after she was born. Just like what Kardashian told People in a previous interview, naming North when she was born was “the last thing” she and her husband did.
"We didn’t name her for like seven days. I feel like it will just come to us,” she said.
