Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Purchase Their Neighbour's House For Almost $3 Million
Celebrity power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are ringing in the New Year by moving into their new home. Apart from finally moving out of Kris Jenner's house, the couple also reportedly bought their next door neighbour's house for almost U.S. $3 million.
Kim, Kanye and their daughter North have been living with Kris Jenner for about two years and they are now finally ready to move out. The couple had planned to move earlier after they bought a mansion in Bel-Air. The 9,000 square foot home has been under renovation since Jan 2013, but things didn't go as well as they originally hoped. In July 2013, E Online reported that after enduring over a year of renovations, the pair decided to just flip the Bel-Air mansion and sell it.
Shortly after news came out about their decision to sell the Bel-Air mansion, the pair purchased a U.S. $20 million home in Calabasas, California. The new estate formerly belonged to Lisa Marie Presley and is just a few minutes away from Kris Jenner's house.
The new house sits on a 3.5 acre estate and boasts its own vineyard as well as two pools, barbecue area, spas and several other luxury amenities. Just before moving in this coming January, Kim and Kanye also reportedly bought the house next door to their current property. According to E Online, the purchase set the couple back another U.S. $2.9 million.
Buying the adjacent property makes Kim and Kanye sole owners of the entire block of land that their house sits on. Now with almost 4.5 acres surrounding their home, Kim wouldn't have to go behind Kourtney's back to find a venue for her daughter's party. Earlier this year, Kim had to celebrate North's birthday on Kourtney's back yard without her sister's approval because Kim didn't have a house of her own yet.
The new purchase comes with a run-down house which reports say is likely to be torn down by the celebrity couple. The couple have several options on what to do with the new property. They have option to tear down the house and make more room and give their house more privacy or they could also build a private guest house in its place. Meanwhile, their U.S. $20 million mansion is ready for occupancy and the Wests will reportedly start moving their things by late January.
