Kim Kardashian says she's not a feminist; believes Snapchat can be an effective parenting tool
Kim Kardashian says she doesn't like labels and couldn't care less about being called a feminist
Quite contrary to the bold and vocal attitude that fans have known her for, reality star and social media mogul Kim Kardashian reveals in an interview that she is not a feminist. A report by Buzzfeed reveals that Kardashian has a different take on feminism, as she shakes off things that are popular for feminists, which she does not agree with.
“I don’t like labels,” says Kardashian. She adds that she only does what makes her happy and that she is very supportive of women and want them to be confident. This, however, does not in any manner make her a feminist.
“I’m not that free-the-nipple type of girl,” she adds. This is quite surprising considering how Kim has not been too shy in revealing her bumps and curves since time immemorial.
Feminism has been one of the most misunderstood ideologies, as some would consider a set of principles to be necessary to be called a feminist while some would not. As for the 35-year-old mother of two, it appears that she does not really care that much.
Her liberal approach on how she lives her life apparently extends to how she plans to raise her children. It was also revealed on Hollywood Reporter that Kardashian plans to use the temporary social media platform Snapchat to raise her kids.
After being labelled as the Queen of Instagram, Kardashian is more revealing about the future of her children on social media. While it is not yet known as to when her kids Saint and North will have social media accounts of their own, Kardashian notes that when they do, she will be monitoring them closely along the way. She claims that this is how she looked after her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner when they first joined Facebook.
She also emphasized the effectiveness of Snapchat as a parenting tool. She reveals that she has friends who follow their teenage children on Snapchat and find them doing things that they are not supposed to do. This sounds like bad news for Saint and North. Their mom will be watching every social move possibly closer than any stalker ever had.
