Kim Kardashian Shares Tips On Taking A Selfie And Reveals That Releasing Selfie Book Is Kanye's Idea
Kim Kardashian West is popular for many things and one of them is her penchant for taking fabulous selfies and sharing them n social media. She recently revealed that the idea for her selfie book actually came from her husband Kanye West, she also shared some tips on how to take an epic selfie.
In a recent interview with the London Evening Standard, the American reality TV star and entrepreneur shared some i formation about the selfie book that she's set to release next year. The book entitled "Kim Kardashian Selfish," is a compilation of some of her most popular as well as never-before seen selfies.
"Kanye came up with the concept and the name and everything. He introduced me to the book publisher. And I was like, 'This is such a good idea, I can't believe I didn't think of it.'" she said. According to her, the photos that will be featured in the book were taken over a span of a decade.
She said that her obsession started out with just a desire to capture memories with her camera. Since the dawn of social media, sharing her selfies has now become something that hooked over 20 million Instagram followers.
She shared in the most recent season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that she made Kanye a selfie book for Valentine's day this year because they had to spend it apart due to work commitments. He loved it so much that she decided to make him another one as a wedding present.
Since then, Kanye has given her the idea to release a version for the public that is scheduled to come out on April 2015. The book is being published in cooperation with Rizzoli Publications. The book will be 352 pages thinck and will contain approximately 2,000 photographs.
In the interview, Kim not only revealed the origin of the selfie book idea, she also shared her secrets to taking an epic selfie. She said that lighting is key and it's necessary to take multiple shots before deciding on the best one to post. She also says that you need to know how to pose and using a mirror is helpful in order to see yourself before taking a photo. Finally, as her last piece of advice, she says that when all else fails, it's always an option to crop a photo to take out some unflattering parts.
