It seems Kim Kardashian isn't letting her divorce get in the way of her business commitments. The reality TV star made her first television appearance since breaking the unfortunate news about her marriage on Australia's "Sunrise."

Coming to the show with younger sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom, she spoke about the public scrutiny that her 72-day marriage with Kris Humphries had to endure.

"It's kind of what you get from living your life so publicly on a reality show," Kardashian says in her "Sunrise" interview, as reported by eonline.com.

"I get that questions are going to be asked and the scrutiny's going to come, and there'll be mixed emotions and so many rumors. That comes along with the territory, but also, it teaches me I kind of want to step back a little bit," the 31-year-old said, expressing her need to get away from the lifestyle she's been leading.

Kardashian has also been reportedly saying that while she is emotionally fragile and vulnerable right now, she knows that she owes it to her fans to show up even to an event halfway across the world.

The Kardashians are touring Australia for the launch of their new handbag line, Kardashian Kollection, but it was Kim's sister who talked most about the product in between protecting her older sister.

The younger Kardashian also had something to say about her sister's highly publicized engagement.

"You feel like you have to defend yourself to every person -- which you don't," she said, referring to her marriage to LA Laker Lamar Odom, who was also with them on their Australian visit. They married barely a month after meeting.

"I'm really proud of Kim for not just bailing and canceling. This is a really hard time for her. Here, we have such amazing fans, but still, it's not getting away. You still have the paparazzi and everything here, so she's being really strong. And Lamar and I are here to be her support at this time," Kardashian-Odom said.
