Kim Kardashian Talks To Vogue About Privacy And Teaching Her Daughter North How To Be Strong
Kim Kardashian West is one of the most recognisable faces in entertainment today. While she appreciates the pros and cons of being an international celebrity, the reality star wishes there could be more privacy for the benefit of her young daughter North West. She says that above all else, she wants to teach her daughter to grow up to be a strong woman.
Kim has scored yet another Vogue Magazine cover and this time she's doing it solo. Last year, she and her then-fiancé Kanye West landed the cover of the April 2014 issue of Vogue. The choice made by editor-in-chief Anna Wintour received mixed reviews, but Wintour explained that the idea was to be current and to be talked about. This goal is something she believes she achieved by choosing Kim and Kanye instead of sticking to deeply tasteful people that some Vogue readers were clamouring for. Kim was very proud of landing the cover and this time around, she has landed a solo cover for the January issue of Vogue Australia.
In the accompanying interview, the multi-media star and successful business mogul spoke about her daughter North and the challenges of raising her in the public eye. In excerpts gathered by E News, Kim said that being a mom has taught her to prioritize the more important things in her life. She also said that people have the misconception that she doesn't have to do anything even though in truth, she works very hard. She said that with her daughter growing up surrounded by all the publicity, she will have to learn the downside of publicity and learn to be strong in the face of haters. She said that she likes sharing her word to people but for the sake of her daughter, she would also like to have a little more privacy.
Speaking of sharing, Kim shared a photo of her Vogue cover over the weekend days before it hit the news stands. She also shared some photos of herself from the magazine spread in which she is doing a slow motion sprint across the Australian sands while wearing a black custom made swimsuit with Vogue written across the front. The cover was shot when Kim went down under last November as part of her fragrance tour for Femme Fatale. She squeezed in a few hours to sneak out for the photo shoot where she wears a white Balmain outfit on the cover with barely there makeup and sleek wet hair.
