Kim Kardashian West is reportedly gunning for a guest appearance in the hit British series Downton Abbey. The reality TV star will be following the footsteps of American actor George Clooney who has already booked a guest spot in the popular drama.

The mini mogul is said to be desperate for a cameo in the series as reported by The Sun. Actress Laura Carmichael who plays Lady Edith Crawley in the period drama was reportedly approached by Kim in a bid to secure the guest spot. Clooney himself supposedly secured his guest appearance through the intercession of a friend in the cast in the person of Hugh Bonneville. Bonneville plays one of the main characters in the show, Robert Crawley. Clooney would not need to worry about acquiring a British accent for his guest role as he wil be playing an American who is attending a wedding at the castle. It remains to be seen if Kim has any talents in acquiring accents should she manage to secure a role in the show.

Kim stars in her own reality TV show with her family titled "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" as well as its various spin-offs but she has since also made appearances in other shows. Just last week, she lent her voice in the animated series "American Dad" where she played a furry pink alien who fell in love with one of the show's main characters. She has also previously made appearances in shows like "Drop Dead Diva," "Beyond the Break" and "Brothers." She is also set to appear in an episode of "2 Broke Girls."

Kim is certainly at home in castles and old forts as she hosted the rehearsal dinner for her wedding in a French Chateau. She also treated her guests to a private tour of the Versailles Palace in France before everyone was flown down to Florence for the lavish wedding ceremony. Kim and Kanye also spent their honeymoon in Ireland where they booked accommodations in a restored estate similar to Highclere Castle where "Downton Abbey" is being filmed.

Last month, Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick also made an appearance in another TV show, "Royal Pains," but they only played themselves in the bit part. With Downton Abbey being a period drama, there's no chance that Kim can do the same should the reports result into a guest appearance.
