Kim Kardashian's and Kanye West's Inspirational (Not Directional!) Choice For Baby North's Name
Seems like we were headed at the wrong direction, eh? Sources from Kim's and Kanye's camp revealed to TMZ the explanation behind their choice of baby's name. North West isn't "directional" but "inspirational". "They chose the name North because they see it as a metaphor for 'up'".
It has been reported that the couple even thought aloud by saying "What's north of North? Nothing."
North, for her famous parents, is the "highest point" of their relationship. Mum Kim and dad Kanye consider her as their "North Star".
Speculations about the name Kimye will give their baby abound until a copy of the birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center which was well, at West Hollywood, revealing the name to be North was published.
There were earlier mentions of Kai Georgia Donda and Kaidence Donda as possible names for the baby who is already in the news before she even learns the alphabet!
Both names suggested ways on how to keep up with the Kardashians' tradition of names starting with the letter K.
Donda, on the other hand is daddy Kanye's late mum's name.
As for the Georgia, it is the female version of maternal granddad Robert Kardashian's middle name.
North was born last June 15 to the couple who is rumoured to be tying the knot in Paris come September.
