Kim Kardashian's Weight-Loss Secret Revealed: How She Became Mummy to Yummy (VIDEO)
You may have wondered how Kim Kardashian got back to her yummy avatar from her 'healthy' mummy-hood. Well, here is the secret.
Kim Kardashian has revealed that the secret behind her return to the 'hot-bod' bevy in Hollywood is the Atkins diet. The low-carb diet has been instrumental in stimulating the tremendous progress she had with her post baby weight loss.
Kim tweeted on Monday October 13 that she had been on the Atkins diet. She also expressed how much she loved the same. The Atkins diet has always been a favourite among the celebrities who prefer going for a drastic weight loss in accordance with their professional demands. Some do it after they become mummies while some do it for a specific character they may have to portray on screen, which require a thinner look.
The diet focuses on the unrestricted consumption of proteins such as eggs, cheese and meat while it limits the intake of food items containing carbohydrates, like bread, rice and fruit. It also encourages the intake of food items which are rich in animal fat whereas it limits the consumption of starches and grains. Celebrities like Robbie Williams, Gerri Halliwell and Jennifer Aniston speak highly of the diet initiated by Robert Atkins.
On the contrary, the Atkins diet often faces criticism for its extreme approach toward dieting. While people feel 'filled' most of the time and do not feel hungry as, unlike most other diet plans, they are allowed to take proteins as much as they wish to. They may also be able to experience rapid loss of weight because of the plan. However, the unrestricted intake of animal protein leads to consuming a huge amount of saturated fat, often found in meat products. This poses the risk of suffering from heart diseases. The diet can also cause nausea, loss of body fluid and fatigue.
Nevertheless, celebrities like Kim who posed naked for high profile magazines like W and Playboy, may take the chance to stay eligible in their fiercely competitive career.
