Kanye West has already compared his baby North West to the royals but now it looks like that North West is following the footsteps of Prince George literally! The baby of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has taken her first steps; just a few days after Prince George took his. Though the selfie-obsessed parents could not catch their baby Nori's first steps on camera, her mother has shared the adorable picture of the toddler after she achieved the milestone.

"Our baby girl finished one week of swimming lessons today then took her 1st steps right when she got out of the pool!!!!" an excited Kim shared the news via an Instagram picture, which can be seen here.

"Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you!!!! Photo cred: Daddy," the reality star wrote. Kim is seen kissing her one-year-old daughter on the face in the picture. She has wrapped North West in a bright yellow towel and picked her up in her arms. Nori closes her eyes in the picture, which has been taken by Kanye West. The toddler took her first steps as she stepped out of pool, her mommy claims, but not without facing some mild backlash on putting the toddler in the pool.

Some of the comments on the picture criticize Kim for taking her very young daughter for swimming in the pool, when she is not even walking properly. However others are of the opinion that it is good Kim is developing the habit of Nori in the pool as she will have outgrown her fear for water at very young age.

"It's a great thing to take a baby swimming; 1. They won't fear water that can come when they are older 2. If they accidentally fall into a pool they have some surviving instinct and skills," writes tineluren on Kim's Instagram page.
