Miami Heat superstar LeBron James will be on the cover of a video game for the first time since turning pro, becoming the face of 2K Sports' basketball simulation game, NBA 2K14.

2K Sports, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, unveiled LeBron as the latest NBA player to grace the cover of their popular video game on Thursday in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

James, who's arguably the best basketball player in the planet right now, appears to be a huge fan of the game and highly recommends the latest edition of NBA 2K franchise.

"I hope everyone is as excited about NBA 2K14 as I am," said James in a viral video. "2K is letting me do things the LeBron way, starting the the King James Bonus Pack, which of course, I highly recommend you check out.

The four-time NBA MVP said there are lots of surprises in store in the game so gamers should really check it out.

"We have a lot more special surprises for you. It's going to be the best sports video game the world has ever seen,"

James had a triple-double (18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists) in Game 1 of the NBA Finals but the San Antonio Spurs came through with clutch baskets to eke out a 92-88 victory in the opener.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is scheduled on Sunday at American Airlines Arena.

NBA 2K14 is scheduled to hit the market on October 1, 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
