The owners of the controversial "Kitchen Nightmare" restaurant Amy's Baking Company are determined to rid of their negative image. After their disastrous appearance at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's U.S. reality show, Amy and Samy Bouzaglo vow to clean up their image by hiring a PR company and re-launching their restaurant.

The husband-and-wife restaurateurs have hired PR company Rose+Moser+Allyn Public & Online Relations to help them win customers. According to a post on the couple's Facebook page, they will be holding a press conference before the grand re-opening of their restaurant on May 21 to answer "falsehoods" that were depicted on the reality show.

However, the producers of "Kitchen Nightmares" moved to stop them from conducting a press conference.

"We understand that you are planning a public even on May 21, 2013, at which you will discuss your experiences and your 'unflattering portrayals' on the show," the letter from the producers reads, as obtained by Phoenix New Times.

"If you speak about the show without Upper Ground's and Fox's prior approval, and if you disparage the show, its host, or its producers, you will breach your obligations under Paragraph 10 of your Personal Release and Paragraph 14 of your Participant Agreement. These agreements prohibit you from speaking publicly about Kitchen Nightmares, other than to acknowledge 'the mere fact of your participation in the Series in personal publicity relating to yourself.'

"You conduct exposes each of you to liability for liquidated damages of $100,000."

The press conference has therefore been cancelled, and the "Grand Re-Opening" even has been renamed "Grand Re-Opening Week."

But while the couple backed down on the press conference, they still have the same objective, which is to let the public decide whom to believe: Ramsay, "a famous celebrity chef or the marketplace that has supported the small, locally owned business for six years."

Amy and Samy were extremely criticised online after appearing on an episode of the reality show earlier this month. For the first time ever in the show, Ramsay walked away from the challenge of helping the Bouzaglo's flailing restaurant business when it became apparent that Amy refused to accept constructive criticisms.

Not only did she deflect unfavourable comments about her cooking and her service, she also retaliated to customers with their food. She also fired a young server for daring to ask her if she's sure. Her husband, Samy, was not better. He shouted at the customers who complained about their food or the long waiting time, and ordered them to leave the premises. He even kept the servers' tips for himself.

At one time during the filming of the show, Amy called the police on two customers who complained about waiting for more than an hour for their food.

Even before their appearance on the show, the couple already have staggering negative reviews on YELP and other social networking sites. Amy said that they needed Ramsay to tell the world that her cooking is great, and that the service in the restaurant is excellent. But when Ramsay agreed with the reviews on both the subpar food and the horrible service, that's when she criticised the Michelin-starred chef of not knowing real good food.

As expected, Amy and Samy received even more negative reviews. And just like they have done so before, they answered the negative comments with scathing attacks of their own, calling their critics vile names. They later claimed that their Facebook page had been hacked.
